On the morning of April 18, 1972, the late Lois Gerdwood knocked on Mr. Antonelli’s classroom door and asked to speak with Bob in the hallway. Surprisingly he permitted and Bob met Lois in the hallway where she asked if he would be interested in meeting Cathy Kline at the track meet after school. Bob knew Cathy, thought for a moment, and said: “yes.” Lois then proceeded upstairs to Cathy’s class and got her into the hallway and told her Bob wanted to see her at the track meet after school. Fifty-four years later, on April 18, 2026, Bob & Cathy are in Omaha Nebraska at their granddaughter Maria’s track meet. Who would have ever guessed?
